Snapea CrispsMade from sun-dried peas, Snapea Crisps are crunchy snap-pea shaped crisps that taste like a crispy vegetable stick. These are not dried snap peas as you might believe from looking at the photo on the bag. Think of them as crunchy potato sticks that are green and baked instead of fried. You’ve probably seen long rectangular green veggie chips that look exactly like these.

They have a slight oily texture that leave behind an oily residue on your fingers. No surprise since they’re made with corn oil. That would be where the 8g of fat comes from, which is a bit high for snacks and causes them to lose half a star. These addictive pea pods are great as a snack or a salad add-on. It’s not often you find chips that have 5g protein and a dash of fiber. Be warned — it’s hard not to eat more than a serving.

This review is based on the original Snapea Crisps. They come in Caesar flavor, but I couldn’t find them and I think having this once is enough. I don’t plan to buy them again as the nutrition facts don’t justify it. Plenty of other baked treats in the sea that beat these.
