Kashi, known for its cereals and health bars, has jumped into frozen food and other areas. First up is the Tuscan Veggie Bake, a vegan dish with 7g protein and 8g fiber. The dish has yellow squash, eggplant, red onion and sweet potatoes sandwiches between two Kashi 7 whole grain noodles and topped with zesty basil tomato sauce.

Zesty is a good description as it does have spices and a touch of spiciness. On the side, I found a cheesy looking sauce, but it was only in a small part. It’s too bad because I liked this part. I couldn’t taste the sweet potatoes, but I got plenty of red onion and yellow squash — my least favorite veggies.
