The cinnamon pops. There’s another spice with a gentle tang that I can’t figure out. On top of the square is a vanilla drizzle, but not as much as what the picture on the box shows. The crunch comes from unidentified round pieces that taste a crunchy oatmeal spice cookie.

While the square is a different shape from the Day Break bars, I feel like I’m not getting as much as I do with the bars for the same calories. It’s tasty, but not enough to beat some of my faves. Nutrition facts: 140 calories, 7g fat, 4g sat fat, 120 sodium, 24g carbs, 10g fiber, 1g sugars, 7g sugar alcohols, 6g net carbs and 5g protein.

Atkins Day Break Blueberry Almond Baked Square is nutty, blueberry sweet. It’s a cross between a filling-free fruity Pop Tart and a soft chewy cookie. Little almond pieces and blueberry pieces decorate the square. I don’t know what makes up the white swirl on top, but it blends right in.

If you’re thinking this will replace a blueberry muffin — it won’t. The square has a thicker texture and it’s much thinner than a muffin (even a normal sized one). It does satisfy blueberry cravings. Nutrition facts: 130 calories, 7g fat, 3g sat fat, 115 sodium, 24g carbs, 10g fiber, 2g sugars, 8g sugar alcohols, 6g net carbs and 5g protein.
