Atkins Advantage Dark Chocolate Decadence BarI thought I’d never find Atkins Advantage Dark Chocolate Decadence Bar for months. I wasn’t going to order it online in the middle of summer and pay an extra $10 to $15 bucks for cold shipping. I contacted Atkins and they said Walmart carried the bars. I went to four Walmarts and nada.

A local health food store is closing and I went to shop at the sale. What do you know? I found the Dark Chocolate Decadence Bar! Alas, no Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut Crunch Bar. That hunt is still on. However, I’ve been looking harder and longer for the Dark Chocolate than the Dark Chocolate Decadence Bar than the Almond Coconut Crunch because coconut wasn’t high on my list. I don’t know if I saw it, but I haven’t come across it in over a month of active looking.

On to the taste test. The swirl on top as shown in the picture looks flat rather than on top of the chocolate dip that does have a fudginess about it with its thickness. Crunch shows up in every bite. The top of the bar is chewy and thicker than the other sides probably because of the caramel drizzle that melted into the chocolate covering. Dark chocolate is there, but not as strong as other dark chocolates I’ve tried. Nonetheless, still a strong burst of chocolate flavor.

Tasty bar that doesn’t top my favorite Caramel Chocolate Nut Roll Advantage Bar, but scores higher than many of the Advantage bars. That leaves one bar I’ve yet to review. Now where is that darn Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut Crunch Bar?
