South Beach Protein Fit Cranberry Almond Cereal Bars
South Beach Protein Fit Cranberry Almond Cereal Bars are the second high protein cranberry almond bar I’ve tried. The first being the disappointing Atkins Day Break Cranberry Almond Bar. The sweet ‘n sour dried cranberries rule the kingdom in South Beach’s version with almonds settling for the role of shy court jester because it never comes out to entertain the taste buds.
Unlike Atkins, this doesn’t have icing or any kind of topping. Just granola, rice, cranberry and supposedly almonds. Ordinary bar. Nothing special. The kind of kingdom that you can never remember the current royalty’s name.
Just like the other South Beach Protein Fit bars, the cereal bar contains corn syrup — just not the “high fructose” kind. Corn syrup is way down low on the list of ingredients while old fashioned sugar shows up in the middle of the first line.

South Beach keeps changing their product line up. Atkins makes some delicious high protein bars. Try the Atkin Day Break bars.

I definitely agree with Gail! THey have disappeared from the stores, and they are by far the best granola bars out there. Why do the manufacturers all produce chocolate or peanut butter and icing, and few good-tasting alternatives?? Ugh….
